This is the unreleased 1985 ORIGINAL Version of "Universal Love (Space Opus II)"--and yes, it's a vocal version. In 1990, I augmented the original backing instrumental by replacing the Keyboard Guitars with a Celestial Orchestral Arrangement for the "Git Weird!!" Album. In the process, I misplaced the original vocals, so the 1990 version remained instrumental (thus the "Space Opus II" subtitle).

As I was gathering the "Motherlode" Cassette-Masters for digital conversion, I was thinking of supplanting the LIVE Version of "Alladin's Groove (Alladin's Funk)"--yes, there IS one!!--when I found the Divided-Track Cassette-Masters for "Universal Love", including the vocals.

This is the first time I'VE heard the "space-rock" original version of this song since March 1986!! And now, it closes out "Motherlode" properly. Trust me---the original is just as epic as the "Git Weird!!" version.
